Dark and somewhat dull bronze above; pronotum substantially wider than long, very strongly convex and with rounded lateral margins; elytral apices without prominent spines.
The imaged specimen was collected by Mark Hura in November 1997 from south of Morgan where it was found at night, alive on the ground under a flowering mallee Eucalypt.
Bílý & Hanlon 2020 noted that this species had 'not been collected for decades' and their revision only presented data for old specimens.
