Somewhat similar to B. sphaenoida in colouration but with a very convex bulbous pronotum and the apical spines small and short.
Known in SA only by the single male specimen bearing Carter's label 'S. Australia' and chosen as the lectotype by Bílý & Hanlon 2020.
