Germarica blackburni  Distinctive features

Rather similar to G. lilliputana, and possibly conspecific, but specimens here assigned this name are slightly broader with the posterior of the pronotum less constricted, and the elytra margins are not straight but are expanded in their posterior half.

Notes

The application of this name in SA is uncertain, but some SA specimens closely match an image of a syntype specimen from Queensland. It seems this species and G. carteri may occur together with G. lilliputana which is the best known species. It is possible that more species are involved and the taxonomy of the genus is much in need of study.
