Melobasis splendida (Grey form)  Distinctive features

Like M. splendida, but ventral side and pronotum silver-grey instead of green; and elytra blue in areas that are normally green.

Notes

This is most likely just a colour variant of Melobasis splendida. No difference in aedeagus morphology is apparent and it has been collected amongst normally coloured M. splendida. It is being here recorded here as a separate entity to track its distribution and host plant associations.
