Plant description
Erect, sticky undershrub to 1m, almost glabrous. Leaves 2–8 cm long; leaflets 9–13, linear to elliptic or obovate, 15–20 mm long: 2–8 mm wide. Inflorescence a spike-like raceme, exceeding the leaves; 5–8 mm long; corolla whitish-blue to purple. Flowering September - December or January - February. Fruits are pod sessile, ovoid-compressed, 5-6 mm long, covered with hard straight or hooked prickles. Not dehiscent, or if so then matures late; rusty-coloured Seeds are seeds reniform, to 3mm long; green mottled black, nearly filling the cavity
