Bubastes barkeri  Distinctive features

Bronze with weak reddish lustre, ventral side with mid-dense to dense cover of moderately long, widened, flat, pale scale-like hairs; pronotum very convex and arched towards head, about as long as wide; elytra with weak carinae.

Notes

Apparently only known in SA by an old Blackburn collection from Quorn which was cited by Bílý & Hanlon 2020 (images of that specimen (SAMA 25-039794) are presented here).
