Castiarina ignea  Distinctive features

Head and pronotum coppery bronze; elytra yellow with variable markings, often much reduced.

Notes

Barker 2006a separates Castiarina ignea from C. clancula in his key by the yellow vs orange elytral background colour. Forms of C. clancula with reduced elytral markings and a more reddish pronotum appear to approach C. ignea and the two species may intergrade.
