subfamily  Buprestinae » tribe  Stigmoderini » subtribe  Stigmoderina
Castiarina  species group: testacea
Castiarina testacea  Distinctive features

Similar to C. crockerae but with a paler more yellowish pronotum. Close also to C. subtestacea, but differs from both those species by the more obvious ribs on the elytra which extend to their apices.

Notes

The inclusion of this species is based on two specimens in the SA Museum labelled with the general location 'South Australia'. Its occurrence here should be regarded as provisional and needs confirmation. Along with its allies C. subtestacea and C. crockerae, it is considered to be a bud mimic (refer to the latter species).
