Castiarina viridissima  Distinctive features

Head, pronotum, legs and ventral side green. Differs from Castiarina vegeta in the elytral premedial fascia with its outer (lateral) edges more or less straight and not reaching the lateral elytra margins, the convex interstices of the elytral striations laterally, and the more yellowish background colour.

Notes

The occurrence of this species in SA is based on the tentative ID of a single collection comprising two specimens and needs confirmation.
