Cypriacis aurulenta  Distinctive features

A large brightly coloured beetle c. 2 cm long, predominantly blue-green to golden-green with the elytral suture and margins copper-coloured.

Notes

An introduced species recorded in SA in timber imported from north-eastern USA and intercepted at Port Adelaide. The larvae bore in Pinus and other conifers and are reported to survive in timber for up to 60 years.
