Head and pronotum (pinkish-)red to coppery (with green reflections/iridescence); elytra straight-sided, dark blue; ventral side coppery and purplish.
Described by Carter 1937 based on three specimens from Wurarga in the arid zone of western WA.
The SA occurrence is based on two SA Museum specimens matching Carter's description that were collected near Oodnadatta in 1996 from Eucalyptus flowers. A subsequent collection made in 2004 from Googs Track, within the northern boundary of the EP Region, also appears to match this species (ID based on an image of a single specimen held in a private collection).
