Rather convex in shape, predominantly bronze in colouration, and with a conspicuous, relatively dense covering of appressed hairs.

Notes

The original description of this species by Carter 1926 was based on a single (holotype) specimen from Lucindale in the SE Region of SA.

Cowie 2001 recorded thisP. piliventris in Tasmania from foliage of 'dying Eucalyptus spp. ?'. My records in the Adelaide area were taken from dead foliage on a mostly dying Acacia notabilis.
