Temognatha westwoodii  Distinctive features

Generally brownish-red colouration and a distinctive body-shape with the elytra broadening towards the posterior; the elytra have transverse bands of dark blue (or black with blue reflections).

Notes

This is a largely Western Australian species that extends into the arid zone and reaches northern Eyre Peninsula. It is known to be strongly attracted to red lures.
