Tepper 1887 reported taking 'numbers of the beetles on Dodonane[a] stenozyga .. in the Murray scrub, [and] another on mallee flowers in Yorke's Peninsula'. There are no Tepper collections (nor any others) in the SA Museum that have Dodonaea recorded as a host, and the species is usually found on flowers of Myrtaceae, and especially on Leptospermum.
